How does WA Labor have the evidence they need to introduce firearm reforms when they don't even report whether a firearm or shooter involved in an incident is unlicenced?

Their firearm reforms target law-abiding firearm owners instead of focusing on those doing the wrong thing.

In Parliament last week I gave a Members Statement about log chopping competition and Jack Davis' story.

The WA Labor Government did not directly consult firearm owners about their proposed firearm reforms. Giving them only a month to respond.

In Parliament I asked the Minister representing the Minister for Police to explain how the WA Labor Government DIRECTLY consulted with the almost 90,000 firearm licence holders.

The short answer is - they didn't.

Even after over 12,500 people called for an extension to the consultation, Labor remains silent.

Last week I gave my inaugural speech in the Legislative Council surrounded by my family, friends and Parliamentary team.

I'm humbled, ready and determined to serve the constituents of the vast South West Region to the best of my ability.
